Walk, Live and Abide in Him

Abide in me forever and I will abide in you forever. Walk in me forever and I will walk in you forever. Live in me forever and I will live in you forever. To live in constant union with him, it is essential for our spiritual strength, growth and life. "Abiding" means to remain or stay connected; then we experience His presence and His power in our lives. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. (John 15:7) But when you pray, go into your most private room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:6) Silent prayers will be answered publicly according to thy will and word. The LORD of hosts has sworn [an oath], saying, Just as I have intended, so it has certainly happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand. (Isaiah 14:24) It is so, and so it will be. ‘Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too difficult or too wonderful for You. (Jeremiah 33:17) What was impossible will be mission accomplished. With His mighty stretched out arm; an arm of power, strength, healing, saving, covering, protection, providing, upliftment, comfort, encouragement, our banner, provision, our daily bread, the sustainer of our minds and one who makes us whole; we our complete in Him. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. (Isaiah 43:2) Obedience is better than sacrifice. A genuine, obedient relationship with God is more pleasing to Him than outward religious acts or sacrifices.

Samuel said, Has the LORD as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obedience to the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed [is better] than the fat of rams. (Samuel 15:22) So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock.

And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish (stupid) man who built his house on the sand.

And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell and great and complete was its fall. (Matthew 7:24-27) For no one can lay a foundation other than the one which is [already] laid, which is Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11) Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the [chief] Cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20)For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but that I [give new life and] raise it up at the last day. For this is My Father’s will and purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him [as Savior] will have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day. (John 6:38-40) But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. For the sinful nature has its desire which is opposed to the Spirit, and the [desire of the] Spirit opposes the sinful nature; for these [two, the sinful nature and the Spirit] are in direct opposition to each other [continually in conflict], so that you [as believers] do not [always] do whatever [good things] you want to do. (Galatians 5:16-17) No to the flesh; yes to God's will, way and purposes. But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for [nor even think about gratifying] the flesh in regard to its improper desires. (Romans 13:14) Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges [those dishonorable desires] that wage war against the soul.

Keep your behavior excellent among the [unsaved] Gentiles [conduct yourself honorably, with graciousness and integrity], so that for whatever reason they may slander you as evildoers, yet by observing your good deeds they may [instead come to] glorify God in the day of visitation [when He looks upon them with mercy]. (1 Peter 2:11-12)
