Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4) Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Father who is compassionate and the God who gives comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3)

Just as a father loves his children, So the LORD loves and have compassion on those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence], those who honor him. (Psalm 103:13) Her ways I have seen, and I have healed her, and I have comforted her, and I have paid comfort to her and to her mourners.

I create the speech of the lips: peace, peace to those who are afar off and to those who are near, says the LORD; and I will heal them. (Isaiah 57:18-19) To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance and retribution of our God, To comfort all who mourn,

To grant to those who mourn in Zion the following: To give them a turban instead of dust [on their heads, a sign of mourning], The oil of joy instead of mourning, The garment [expressive] of praise instead of a disheartened spirit. So they will be called the trees of righteousness [strong and magnificent, distinguished for integrity, justice, and right standing with God], The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. (Isaiah 61:2-3) Arise and show love upon Zion because the time has come to show love upon her; for it is time to favor it; the appointed time has come. (Psalm 102:13) Then those who feared the LORD [with awe-filled reverence] spoke to one another; and the LORD paid attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who fear the LORD [with an attitude of reverence and respect] and who esteem His name.

“They will be Mine,” says the LORD of hosts, “on that day when I publicly recognize them and openly declare them to be My own possession [that is, My very special treasure]. And I will have compassion on them and spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him."

Then you will again distinguish between the righteous and the wicked, between the one who serves God and the one who does not serve Him. (Malachi 3:16-18)

You have said, It is useless to serve God. What profit is it if we keep His ordinances, and walk around like mourners before the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 3:14) Who [and what] is the Almighty, that we should serve Him? And what would we gain if we plead with Him? (Job 21:15) And the way of peace they have not known; and the fear of God is not before their eyes. (Romans 3:17)

They do not know the way of peace, And there is no justice in their tracks. They have made them into crooked paths; Whoever walks on them does not know peace. (Isaiah 59:8) Woe (judgment is coming) to the wicked! It shall go badly with him, For what his hand has done shall be done to him. (Isaiah 3:11) Thus says the LORD, Stand by the roads and look; ask for the ancient paths, Where the good way is; then walk in it. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it. Ask where the path is that leads to blessing and follow it. If you do, you will find rest for your souls." But they said, "We will not follow it!"(Jeremiah 6:16) “There is no peace for the wicked,” says the LORD." (Isaiah 48:22) Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS.

"For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30) There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven—

A time to be born and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.

A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance.

A time to throw away stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.

A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace.

I have observed the burdens placed by God on human beings in order to perfect them.

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-5,8,10-11)
