"A House of Strength and Glory"

Lift up your eyes on high; He who created all the stars? And see who has created these heavenly bodies, The One who brings out their host by number, He brings them out like an army, one after another, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might, By the abundance of strength (And he is strong in power) not one is lacking. (Isaiah 40:26) I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2) Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8)

God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom And by His understanding and skill He has stretched out the heavens. (Jeremiah 10:12)

My hand laid the foundation of the earth. My right hand stretched out the heavens. When I call for them, they both stand. (Isaiah 48:13)

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell Me, if you know and have understanding.

Who determined the measurements [of the earth], if you know? Or who stretched the [measuring] line on it?

On what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone,

while the morning stars sang together and all the divine beings shouted joyfully? (Job 38:4-7) Nevertheless I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand.

You will guide me with Your counsel, And afterward receive me to honor and glory.

My mind and my body may grow weak, but God is my strength; he is all I ever need, but God remains the foundation of my life and my inheritance forever. (Psalm 73:23-26) May the LORD bless you from Zion, He who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 134:3) ‘The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give [the ultimate] peace and prosperity,’ declares the LORD of hosts.' (Haggai 2:9) This is what the LORD says, “Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool." Where, then, is a house that you could build for Me? And where will My resting place be?

“For all these things My hand has made, So all these things came into being [by and for Me],” declares the LORD. But to this one I will look [graciously], upon whom will I look with favor, and where shall I dwell? But to him who is calm and humble, and trembles at my word. (Isaiah 66:1-2) Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the [chief] Cornerstone,

in whom the whole structure is joined together, and it continues [to increase] growing into a holy temple in the Lord [a sanctuary dedicated, set apart, and sacred to the presence of the Lord],

in whom also ye are builded together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit. (Ephesians 3:20-22) But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built. (1 Kings 8:27)

This God made the world and everything in it. He is Lord of heaven and earth, and he doesn't live in temples built by human hands,

neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things. (Acts 17:24-25)
