“Rabbi (Teacher), we know [without any doubt] that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs [these wonders, these attesting miracles] that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.”
(John 3:2-3)
If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know whether the teaching is of God or whether I speak on My own accord and by My own authority. (John 7:17) Actively seeking to live according to God's will, we gain a deeper understanding of His message. A true understanding requires a heart that is open to following His way. God's will is a prerequisite for understanding the truth of His teachings; obedience and a willingness to align with His purpose.
By following His teachings and accepting Him as Lord and Savior of our life. He is the embodiment of truth, and the source of eternal life. Believing in Him leads to spiritual rebirth and the promise of life after death.
Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life. ( John 14:6) To as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name-- who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth--they are born of God--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified]. (John 1:12-13) Those who choose to live close to God, trusting in His power will experience God's protective presence, offering safety and peace. This kind of trust is a declaration of faith when speaking about God's protective power, plans and provision over our life.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” (Psalm 91:1-2) Isaiah teaches us that true and lasting peace comes from a mind that is centered on God, trusting in Him and His faithfulness. Believers whose thoughts, focus, and attention are consistently directed towards Him. Trusting in Him, relying on Him, believing in His promises, and finding refuge in His presence.
Thou will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. Trust [confidently] in the LORD forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the LORD GOD is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages. (Isaiah 26:3-4)
Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:16) Peace is not something that can be logically explained or understood through human reasoning. It's a supernatural peace that comes from God.
It's a gift that He offers to those who seek Him and believe in Him; with faith in Him and a relationship with Him.
And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours. (Philippians 4:7) Psalm teaches us that true and lasting joy comes from a relationship with God, these pleasures are not temporary or fleeting, but continue forever; the very presence of God brings an abundance of joy. In His presence God reveals the way to a life of purpose. Being close to God brings a deep and lasting sense of joy, this joy comes from a relationship with God, rather than worldly pursuits.
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11) Our thoughts and actions; lead to a more fulfilling and peaceful life. The direction of our thoughts and focus; whether in the flesh or the Spirit impacts our relationship with God, the quality and path of our life. Life that leads to peace, a state of spiritual well-being, joy, harmony, and a connection with God; comes from a mind that stays on Christ Jesus. The mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever. ( Romans 8:6)
