"Of Him That is The Truth"

And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world], and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (1 John 5:20)
Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent. (John 17:3) For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice. (John 18:37) Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world. (James 1:27)
Learn to do good; seek justice, practice kindness and compassion, do good to the oppressed, plead for the fatherless, plead for the widows. (Isaiah 1:17) Thus has the LORD of hosts said, Dispense true justice and practice kindness and compassion, to each other;
and do not oppress or exploit the widow or the fatherless, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise or even imagine evil in your hearts against one another. (Zechariah 7:9-10) In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit [through factional motives, or strife], but with [an attitude of] humility [being neither arrogant nor self-righteous], regard others as more important than yourselves.
Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility],
who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; but emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man]. (Philippians 2:3-7)
Thus says the LORD, Execute justice and righteousness, and rescue the one who has been robbed from the hand of his oppressor. And do no wrong; do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place. (Jeremiah 22:3) He has told each of you what is good: And what does the LORD require of you Except to be just, to love mercy and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion), And to walk humbly with your God [setting aside any overblown sense of importance or self-righteousness]? (Micah 6:8)
Blessed [content, sheltered by God’s promises] are the merciful, for they will receive mercy. (Matthew 5:7) Thus says the LORD, “Let not the one who is wise and skillful boast in his insight; let not the one who is mighty and powerful boast in his strength; let not the one who is rich boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] abundance;
but let the one who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows Me [and acknowledges Me and honors Me as God and recognizes without any doubt], that I am the LORD who practices lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on the earth, for in these things I delight," says the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:23-24) Woe to you, [self-righteous] scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you give a tenth (tithe) of your mint and dill and cumin [focusing on minor matters], and have neglected the weightier [more important moral and spiritual] provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the [primary] things you ought to have done without neglecting the others. (Matthew 23:23) Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters: has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and [as believers to be] heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? (James 2:5) I love those who love me; And those who seek me early and diligently will find me. (Proverbs 8:17) For whoever finds me (Wisdom) finds life And obtains favor and grace from the LORD.
“But he who fails to find me or sins against me injures himself; All those who hate me love and court death." (Proverbs 8:34-35) Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matthew 6:19-20) So it is for the one who continues to store up and hoard possessions for himself, and is not rich [in his relationship] toward God. (Luke 12:21) For I desire and delight in [steadfast] loyalty [faithfulness in the covenant relationship], rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. (Hosea 6:6) Blessed [spiritually prosperous, happy, to be admired] are the poor in spirit [those devoid of spiritual arrogance, those who regard themselves as insignificant], for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. (Matthew 5:3) Let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position [as a born-again believer, called to the true riches and to be an heir of God];
and the rich man is to glory in being humbled [by trials revealing human frailty, knowing true riches are found in the grace of God],
For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; its flower falls off and its beauty fades away; so too will the rich man, in the midst of his pursuits, fade away. (James 1:10-11) The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8)
