But love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; for your reward will be great (rich, abundant), and you will be sons of the Most High; because He Himself is kind and gracious and good to the ungrateful and the wicked.
Be merciful (responsive, compassionate, tender) just as your [heavenly] Father is merciful. (Luke 6:35-36) Who may ascend onto the mountain of the LORD?
And who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart. (Psalm 24:3-4)
Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8) The need for a pure heart and a mind focused on God; being mindful of what you allow to shape your heart.
Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14) Then Elisha prayed and said, “LORD, please, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servants eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha. (2 King 6:17)
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
But we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm 20:7) Trusting in the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength; a call to a complete and unwavering faith in God, encompassing every aspect of one's being. (Mark 12:30-31)
