Let no man despise thy youth; but be a pattern of the faithful, in discourse; in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)
In all things be holding forth yourself as a pattern of good works, in the teaching, integrity and dignity. (Titus 2:7)
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every one. (Colossians 4:6)
Join one another in following my example, brothers, and carefully observe those who live and walk according to the pattern we set for you. (Philippians 3:17) How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. (Psalm 119:9)
Even a young man is known by his actions whether his conduct is pure and upright. (Proverbs 20:11)
Therefore become imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]. (Ephesians 5:1)
Whoever says he lives in Christ [that is, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself. (1 John 2:6)
By this the children of God and the children of the devil are clearly identified: anyone who does not practice righteousness [who does not seek God’s will in thought, action, and purpose] is not of God, nor is the one who does not [unselfishly] love his [believing] brother. (1 John 3:10) By this we know that we love the children of God: when we love God and keep His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 5:2-3)
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him. (1 John 2:29)
Little children (believers, dear ones), do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who practices righteousness [the one who strives to live a consistently honorable life—in private as well as in public—and to conform to God’s precepts] is righteous, just as He is righteous. (1 John 3:7)
