Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example],
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers).
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night.
And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season;
Its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
The wicked [those who live in disobedience to God’s law] are not so,
But they are like the chaff [worthless and without substance] which the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand [unpunished] in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the LORD knows and fully approves the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked shall perish. (Psalm 1) The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.] (1 John 4:8) Let love lift, lead and guide us continuously. God's love for us is unconditional and unchanging, not dependent on the actions of mankind; this love is experienced through faith in Christ, even amidst any circumstances of life, we still are loved and cherished by God. A man who seek a close relationship with God, dwelling in His presence, will experience His covering and protection with confident love, trust and faith in Him. Faith in God is essential for a relationship with Him and that of a steadfast faith. A lack of faith in Him, His Will, His Way and His Word; His very purpose over our life can cause the disconnect in our faith by not relying on Him.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. (Psalm 91:1)
Keep me [in Your affectionate care, protect me] as the apple of Your eye; Hide me in the [protective] shadow and the of Your wings. (Psalm 17:8)
For thus says the LORD of hosts, after glory He has sent Me against the nations which plunder you—for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.(Zechariah 2:8)
He found him in a desert land,
In the howling wasteland of a wilderness;
He kept circling him, He took care of him,
He protected him as the apple of His eye.
As an eagle that protects its nest,
That flutters over its young,
He spread out His wings and took them,
He carried them on His pinions.
So the LORD alone led him;
There was no foreign god with him. (Deuteronomy 32:10) .
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? (Romans 8:28,35) Whatever stands against us cannot take God's love from us or faith in Him because we are rooted and grounded in His love. When Christ dwell in your hearts through your faith. With you, then having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love. (Ephesians 3:17) May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.(Romans 15:13) A lack of peace and holiness can hinder spiritual strength and faith in God. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. (Romans 12:18) For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, But My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, Nor will My covenant of peace be shaken,” Says the LORD who has compassion on you. (Isaiah 54:10)
Continually pursue peace with everyone, and the sanctification without which no one will [ever] see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)
Now we who are strong [in our convictions and faith] ought to [patiently] put up with the weaknesses of those who are not strong, and not just please ourselves. Let each one of us [make it a practice to] please his neighbor for his good, to build him up spiritually. (Romans 15:1-2) That is why I remind you to fan into flame the gracious gift of God, [that inner fire—the special endowment]. Actively use and develop the spiritual gifts and talents that God has given to us individually. (2 Timothy 1:6)Those with the gift of encouragement should do so with diligence, those with the gift of giving should do so generously, those with the gift of leadership should lead with zeal, and those with the gift of mercy should show it cheerfully. (Romans 12:8)
