We have been sprinkled [with his blood] to free us from a guilty conscience, and our bodies have been washed with clean water. So we must continue to come [to him] with a sincere heart and strong faith. (Hebrews 10:22)
Beloved, if our heart does not convict us [of guilt], we have confidence [complete assurance and boldness] before God;
and we receive from Him whatever we ask because we [carefully and consistently] keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight [habitually seeking to follow His plan for us]. (1 John 3:21-22) But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect. (1 Peter 3:15) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my [firm, immovable] rock and my Redeemer. (Psalm 19:14)
I will meditate on Your precepts
And [thoughtfully] regard Your ways [the path of life established by Your precepts].
I will delight in Your statutes;
I will not forget Your word.
Deal bountifully with Your servant,
That I may live and keep Your word
[treasuring it and being guided by it day by day]. (Psalm 119:15-17)
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that You have done; I ponder the work of Your hands. (Psalm 143:5)
For You, O LORD, have made me glad by Your works;
At the works of Your hands I joyfully sing.
How great are Your works, O LORD!
Your thoughts are very deep [beyond man’s understanding]. (Psalm 92:4-5)
O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You; I will praise Your name. For You have worked wonders—plans formed long ago—in perfect faithfulness. (Isaiah 25:1)
For I proclaim the name [and presence] of the LORD; Ascribe greatness and honor to our God.
As for the Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are just. He is a reliable God who is never unjust, righteous and upright is he. (Deuteronomy 32:3-4) Timeless truth, I tell you: whoever believes in me, those works which I have done he was will also do, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the presence of my Father.
And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. (John 14:12-13)
If I regard sin and baseness in my heart [that is, if I know it is there and do nothing about it], The Lord will not hear [me];
But certainly God has heard [me]; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
God deserves praise, for he did not reject my prayer or abandon his love for me. (Psalm 66:18-20) Through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. (Hebrews 13:15)
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. (John 15:7)
These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind. (Deuteronomy 6:6)
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful. (Joshua 1:8)
But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience]. (James 1:25)
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:2)
