Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, But we will remember and trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm 20:7) We should not give a person or thing the trust that is due to God alone. The Lord sees the beginning from the end He always knows what is best for us. We put all our trust in the Lord and not our own knowledge.

If we don't lean on your own understanding, we will acknowledge God. If we acknowledge God, He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6) In alignment with God, there is sound wisdom. It is the LORD who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6) Blessed is the one who finds wisdom and the one who obtains understanding [learning from God’s word and life’s experiences].

For wisdom’s profit is better than the profit of silver,

And her gain is better than fine gold.

She is more precious than rubies;

And nothing you can wish for compares with her [in value].

Long life is in her right hand;

In her left hand are riches and honor.

Her ways are highways of pleasantness and favor,

And all her paths are peace.

She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her,

And happy [blessed, considered fortunate, to be admired] is everyone who holds her tightly. (Proverbs 3:13-18)
