The fear of the LORD leads to life. And he that hath it shall abide satisfied; He shall not be visited with evil. ( Proverbs 19:23) We are in a world where evil resides. I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those You have given Me, because they belong to You; and all things that are Mine are Yours, and [all things that are] Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in them. I am no longer in the world; yet they are still in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but that You keep them and protect them from the evil one. ( John 17:9-11,15)

A wise man feareth and declineth from evil: the fool leapeth over and is confident. (Proverbs 14:16) The [reverent] fear of the LORD is the beginning (the prerequisite, the absolute essential, the alphabet) of wisdom;

A good understanding and a teachable heart are possessed by all those who do the will of the LORD;

His praise endures forever. (Psalm 110:111)

I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor can anything be taken from it, for God does it so that men will fear and worship Him [with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is God]. (Ecclesiastes 3:14)
