Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], for they will inherit the earth.
How blessed are those who are humble; they will receive what God has promised! ( Matthew 5:5) God resists the proud, but shows favor and gives grace to the humble. (1Peter 5:5) Allow yourselves to be humbled, because humility is servanthood. It is to accept all, serve all and prefer all – in Jesus' name.
From the moment of His birth, the Savior taught humility through His actions.
The fruits of humility are love and peace. And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more [displaying itself in greater depth] in real knowledge and in practical insight, so that you may learn to recognize and treasure what is excellent [identifying the best, and distinguishing moral differences], and that you may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God [so that His glory may be both revealed and recognized. (Phillippians 1:9-11)
Be humble in the presence of God's mighty power, and he will honor you when the time comes. ( 1Peter 5:6)
To humble oneself is to acknowledge God as Lord and to obey as servant. And what does the LORD require of you? Except to be just, and to love [and to diligently practice] kindness (compassion), And to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8) Humility puts us in a position of needing God and receiving grace from Him.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. (Phillippians 4:23)
The LORD make His face shine upon you [with favor], And be gracious to you [surrounding you with lovingkindness]. ( Numbers 6:25)
