For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. I shall give thanks to you because of the wonders that you have done, for your works are exalted and my soul knows it well. Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

When You said, “Seek My face [in prayer, require My presence as your greatest need],” my heart said to You.

“Your face, O LORD, I will seek [on the authority of Your word]."

Glory in His holy name;

Let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

Seek the LORD and His strength;

Seek His face continually [longing to be in His presence].

Remember [with gratitude] His marvelous deeds which He has done,

His miracles and the judgments from His mouth,

O seed of Israel His servant,

Children of Jacob, His chosen ones!

We have thought of Your lovingkindness, O God,

In the midst of Your temple.

As is Your name, O God,

So is Your praise to the ends of the earth;

Your right hand is full of righteousness (rightness, justice).

Let Mount Zion be glad,

Let the daughters of Judah rejoice

Because of Your [righteous] judgments.

Walk about Zion, go all around her;

Count her towers,

Consider her ramparts,

Go through her palaces,

That you may tell the next generation [about her glory].

For this is God,

Our God forever and ever;

He will be our guide even until death.
