In Him, you also trusted when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believe in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God].

Every word of God is tested and refined [like silver];

He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.

Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD. Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
