But [you were actually purchased] with precious blood, like that of a [sacrificial] lamb unblemished and spotless, the priceless blood of Christ. For He was foreordained (foreknown) before the foundation of the world, but has appeared [publicly] in these last times for your sake and through Him you believe [confidently] in God [the heavenly Father], who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are [centered and rest] in God. (1Peter 1:19-21) Man will leave you in the middle of the desert with no water, but God will be the water in the middle of the desert. Trust him, Peter denying Jesus cause the fear of men came upon him, and under the pressure of accusation, Then, recognizing his wrong and weakness, he went out, and wept. And those whom he pre-fashioned , he foreordained, he called, and those whom he called, he made righteous, and those whom he made righteous, having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. ( Romans 8:30)
So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper]; (Colossians 3:12 )
He is your praise and glory; He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which you have seen with your own eyes. (Deuteronomy 10:21) Sheep guarded by a skilled shepherd are led to food and water, and protected from harm. In the same way, David praises God for giving him peace. The knowledge of God's protection and provision are a great comfort.
No matter what circumstances abound, God transcends it all. He provides now and forevermore, to great affect in both this human life and the one to come. Those who follow God enjoy his protective care—even while they endure difficult situations. The LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me],
He refreshes and restores my soul (life).
Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. (Psalm 23:1,3-4)
