“God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful." He receives glory. God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong.
But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. (1Corinthians 1:27)
Christ's death on the cross is weak and foolish to the world, but God has given faith in Christ to those who believe it and find God's power and wisdom.
God has gifted us all in different ways, we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, we are each unique in our abilities. "We have different gifts, according to the grace given us... let [us] use [them] in proportion to [our] faith."
Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed; if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy [in caring for others], with cheerfulness. (Romans 12:6-8) Now it is God who establishes and confirms us [in joint fellowship] with you in Christ, and who has anointed us [empowering us with the gifts of the Spirit]. (2 Corinthians
1:21) Attributes of a person living in accord with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is essential in reflecting the character of Christ and enabling us to live out our faith in practical ways. The fruit of the Spirit is a result of a life surrendered to God and filled with the Holy Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love , joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness.
gentleness, self-control.(Galatians 5:22-23 Your life is not in the hands of those who would attack or persecute you or pursue you to harm you. You are not in their hands. You are in God's hands.
My times are in Your hands; Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue and persecute me. (Psalm 31:15)
God has his own sense of timing. He has perfect timing: never early, never late. God is never in a hurry, but he is always on time. This is true even when we are suffering. Not becoming discouraged by God's delay in executing His judgment. He is faithful to His promises, even though it may take time. God is timeless with his perspective on time. Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day. (2Peter 3:8)
