We were told that we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. It is natural for children to be like their parents. (Ephesians 5:1) Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. If you point out these instructions to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished [through study] on the words of the faith and of the good [Christian] doctrine which you have closely followed. (1Timothy 4:6) Diligent in learning, living, teaching, and defending the truth.
See to it that you do not refuse [to listen to] Him who is speaking [to you now]. For if those [sons of Israel] did not escape when they refused [to listen to] him who warned them on earth [revealing God’s will], how much less will we escape if we turn our backs on Him who warns from heaven? (Hebrews 12:25)
But this thing I did command them: ‘Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, so that it may be well with you. ( Jeremiah 7:23)
For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him. (John 3:17) To save in the sense of rescue, heal, and make whole.
Jesus is God's great reminder to us that God not only loves us but that he also has only good and glorious intentions for our lives and our eternal futures.
