Sing of the honor and glory and magnificence of His name; Make His praise glorious. ( Psalm 66:2) Praise is a form of spiritual worship that helps us stay focused on God. Making our worship God-centered. Let it permeate your soul so that you are praising with sincerity. Give all the praise to God, giving him the credit for everything.
The purpose of praise and worship is to create a connection between you and the Lord. God promises that when we praise and worship Him, He inhabits those praises.
But You are holy, O You who are enthroned in [the holy place where] the praises of Israel [are offered]. (Psalm 22:3)
Through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. ( Hebrews 13:15) For with such sacrifices God is pleased. When the peace of Christ rules in our hearts, thankfulness overflows. Not just to offer sacrifices, but to be obedient in our hearts. Offering praise to God: I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. ( Psalm 34:1) To persistently, continually, and repeatedly praise the Lord.
Thanking Him for what He has done and is doing in your life. God calls us to be a thankful, grateful people. Give thanks in all circumstances. We should always be giving thanks in all circumstances, not some, all circumstances.
in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
O give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the people.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;
Speak of all His wonderful acts and devoutly praise them. (Psalm 105:1-2) For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
The LORD bestows grace and favor and honor;
No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts,
How blessed and greatly favored is the man who trusts in You [believing in You, relying on You, and committing himself to You with confident hope and expectation. (Psalm 84:11-12)
