“The Lord does not see as human beings see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart." ( 1 Samuel 16:7)
The Lord looks at the heart to see our love for Him.
We follow what we love; if we truly love God and walk with Him He'll lead us into an abundant and eternal life with Him. That is why He gives the command, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, (life) and with all your mind (thought, understanding), and with all your strength. ( Mark 12:30) A heart that desires nothing more than to be with God because that truly is all our life should be about. Those who embody this pure heart will see God. Only those with a pure heart will know Jesus because that is what Jesus sees. ( Matthew 5:8) The right relationship with God, with others and with oneself, are important. Understanding the movements of one's own heart and of the heart of Jesus; this is seeing the nature and heart of Jesus.
When you open your heart to God, yourself and to hope, He gives more of Himself and transforms your life to live in the fullness He offers through Jesus Christ. "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body." Speaking truth to those around us and of speaking truth about others. (Ephesians 4:25)
I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness and justice, And I will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. (Psalm 7:17) Worshipping God because of his goodness in judging the wicked as guilty, while judging us as innocent because of Jesus. To provide deliverance, protection, and vindication from the wicked ones in life. The righteous may seem weak, but ultimately will prevail against the wicked. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus.
Having the same attitude that Christ Jesus had, with a desire to represent our Lord, He is the author of our life. Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility] who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes--the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it. but emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man]. After He was found in [terms of His] outward appearance as a man [for a divinely-appointed time], He humbled Himself [still further] by becoming obedient [to the Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name. (Phillippians 2:5-9) The One who is both all-sufficient and self-sufficient. A call to confidence in God, if you make him your resting place, he will never leave you. Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. (Psalm 91:1)
