For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding), and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, steadfastness, and in your steadfastness, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection, [develop Christian] love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit]. For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is blind--shortsighted [closing his spiritual eyes to the truth], having become oblivious to the fact that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, believers, be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble [in your spiritual growth and will live a life that leads others away from sin]; for in this way entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be abundantly provided to you.

( 2Peter 1:5-11) There is distinction between Christ's teaching and that of any other teacher.

The man whom God has sent speaks God's message. God gives him the Spirit without measure. (John 3:34) Jesus was fully endowed with truth from God. The Father did not withhold any measure of the Spirit from Christ in the revelation of truth.

Sanctify them in the truth [set them apart for Your purposes, make them holy]; Your word is truth. (John 17:17) We must know the Word and share it as God intends.

Do your best to win full approval in God's sight, as a worker who is not ashamed of his work, one who correctly teaches the message of God's truth. (2Timothy 2:15)

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel [that tells the good news of salvation through faith in Christ], so we speak, not as [if we were trying] to please people [to gain power and popularity], but to please God who examines our hearts [expecting our best]. (Thessalonians 2:4)

Endurance creates character, and character creates confidence. Endurance that develops strength of character, and that character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

This proven character (spiritual maturity); kind of

endurance brings God's approval, and his approval creates hope. (Romans 5:4) Consistent endurance leads to the establishment of what we all want but very few have, character! Character is sustained strength to say no to the things that are harmful to our lives and yes to the things that Christ has for us. Enduring by relying on God to be with you.

For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised. (Hebrews 10:36) All His promises will be fulfilled. His redemptive truth cannot be annulled or changed. THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER. (1Peter 1:25)

The sum of Your word is truth [the full meaning of all Your precepts], And every one of Your righteous ordinances endures forever. (Psalm 119:160) But the one who endures and persevere to the end will be saved. (Matthew 24:13) Believing in the enduring power of His love. Love that lasts over time just as strongly as the day it began, through the tough times and the good times.

His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever, to him who alone does great wonders, His love endures forever, who by his understanding made the heavens, His love endures forever. (Psalm 136:1-5) Faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love growing out of God’s love], the greatest of these is love.

Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love. (1Corinthians 13:13)

"Faith of Hope in His Word"

I wait [patiently] for the LORD, my soul [expectantly] waits, And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; More than the watchmen for the morning. O Is
