The principle of being able to rejoice in the Lord not in circumstances or in situations, shows that we really do trust in a God whom we really believe is in control.
For we [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, set apart for His purpose and] are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory and take pride and exult in Christ Jesus and place no confidence [in what we have or who we are] in the flesh. (Phillippians 3:3)
God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (John 4:24)
Worshiping God in spirit and in truth is a powerful way to draw close to the Lord and honor Him. It is an act of faith that can bring us into a deeper relationship with God. True worship involves giving our whole hearts to the Lord and expressing our love for Him through our words, actions, and thoughts. Being thankful, honest, reverent, with faith, humble, with joy and with our whole heart.
Through sincere and heartfelt worship, we blossom and mature in hope, faith, and love. And through that process, we gather heavenly light into our souls that infuses our lives with divine meaning, abiding peace, and everlasting joy. That is the blessing of worship in our lives.
We worship God because of who He is. God is Creator and He is worthy of our worship.
We worship God because of what He has done for us. He created us, therefore we worship Him.
We worship God because He commands us to. But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. (John 4:23)To seek him over and above everything in this world. Seeking God wholeheartedly giving him our full attention. Praying continually, seeking his guidance, resting in his presence, and walking hand in hand with him as our Lord and Savior. Seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. (Deuteronomy 4:29) God yearns for you to passionately seek Him. He longs to guide you along the path of life that He has planned for you.
