Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous. Your favor wraps around each one and covers them under your canopy of kindness and joy. God's favor is like this shield in the battle of life. It surrounds us, protects us and keeps us covered by His loving embrace. Whenever we go and whatever we face God's favor is there with us and for us. For You, O LORD, bless the righteous man [the one who is in right standing with You];
You surround him with favor as with a shield. ( Psalm 5:12)
For life without the love of God is nothing else than death: a man that has no share in the love of God is dead while he lives; all the enjoyments of life, health, riches, honour, friends are nothing without the love of God.
God's love is better than life when you recognize that life is worthless without it. That life is meaningful when you are under God's amazing love. And this is David's message of truth. God's nature is constant despite the changing nature of the world we live in. David recognized God's amazing loving nature. This is a great reminder to us that God is still good, still kind, still great, and still worthy of our praise even when the world suffers through chaos.
Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,
My lips shall praise You.
So will I bless You as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul [my life, my very self] is satisfied as with marrow and fatness,
And my mouth offers praises [to You] with joyful lips.(Psalm 63:3-5)
God's loving-kindness is our spiritual life, and that is better than temporal life. We must praise God with joyful lips; speak forth the praises of God from a principle of holy joy.
Praise God for being a just God. Commitment to praising God, which birthed from meditations on God; connecting our personal walk with God. Purpose to celebrate, affirm, and prioritize our relationship with God above all else; spiritually prioritizing God’s Word in every aspect of our lives. Love the Lord whole-heartedly and feed upon His absolute truth daily for clarity, wisdom and discernment. A Psalm of David. I will give thanks and praise the LORD, with all my heart; I will tell aloud all Your wonders and marvelous deeds.
I will rejoice and exult in you;
I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. (Psalm 9:1-2)
