Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16) With all prayer and petition pray [with specific requests] at all times [on every occasion and in every season] in the Spirit, and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition [interceding in prayer] for all God’s people. (Ephesians 6:18) Father God, we thank you for the
wisdom you give us daily. Today we ask for wisdom and at the same time ask for the ability to pass that wisdom on to others. Help us to be meek in wisdom and do works in good faith and good conduct. It's in Jesus name we pray. AMEN & Amen Believers in Christ are reconciled not only to God, but to each other. They are to maintain unity of purpose, while resisting the temptation to fall into the sin of the world surrounding them. Admonition against the improper use of speech, the sins of the tongue. Let no corrupt [rotten, insipid, putrid] word proceed out of your mouth, rotten communication is the opposite of building others in the faith—edification. The essentiality of speaking truth to those around us and of speaking truth about others.
Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak]. ( Ephesians 4:29) “Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up." Encouraging and inspiring your neighbors is an important part of loving them as yourself. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) Providing encouragement and inspiration is doubly important because most people you meet are hurting in some way. Throughout His earthly ministry, Jesus showed His love for others by blessing and serving the poor, the sick, and the distressed. Then one of the scribes [an expert in Mosaic Law] came up and listened to them arguing [with one another], and noticing that Jesus answered them well, asked Him, “Which commandment is first and most important of all?”Jesus answered, “The first and most important one is: ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL (life), AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND (thought, understanding), AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ This is the second: ‘YOU SHALL [unselfishly] [h]LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” The scribe said to Him, “Admirably answered, Teacher; You truthfully stated that HE IS ONE, AND THERE IS NO OTHER BUT HIM; AND TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL THE HEART AND WITH ALL THE UNDERSTANDING AND WITH ALL THE STRENGTH, AND TO [unselfishly] LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” The scribe said to Him, “Admirably answered, Teacher; You truthfully stated that HE IS ONE, AND THERE IS NO OTHER BUT HIM; AND TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL THE HEART AND WITH ALL THE UNDERSTANDING AND WITH ALL THE STRENGTH, AND TO [unselfishly] LOVE ONE’S NEIGHBOR AS ONESELF, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” ( Mark 12:28-34) These two commandments must be always in your thoughts and in your hearts, treasured, acted on, fulfilled.
Love God. Love your neighbor as yourself. ( Forgive others who have wronged you. Obedience to God brings healing, closeness, and love.
We can please God by our obedience. (John 14:15) If you love me, you will keep my commandments. When our obedience is based on love, it brings confidence, acceptance and the understanding that God delights and rejoices.
