Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2Peter 1:2 Live holy and godly lives while awaiting Christ's coming and to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.
Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) are those servants whom the master finds awake and watching when he arrives. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, he will prepare himself to serve, and will have them recline at the table, and will come and wait on them.
Luke 12:37 This emphasis the need for readiness and the urgency of being busy in the Lord's service. Nobody knows when Jesus will return, but we know when He does, everyone will stand before the Judge. Those who are currently serving God need to be diligent in their work.
Love God with your heart by living a loving, faith-filled, and purpose-driven life. This requires letting God lead the way. Living each day in close connection with Him so we can recognize our calling. Once we do this, once we let Him lead, our lives will be changed. The reason those who truly love God have the most value and meaning in their lives, they truly believe in God; these people are able to live in God's light and are able to live for God's work. Having an undivided loyalty to God - loving Him above all else.
And Jesus replied to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. This kind of love comes from a clean heart that has been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. He gives us a new heart and helps us through his Holy Spirit to transform our hearts sanctification and even guards our hearts.
When we have this kind of love for God, it will overflow into every area of our lives. Proverbs 4:23
The Lord means for us to guard our hearts by filtering our emotions, desires, thoughts, and responses through his Word. Guard
your heart and mind by filling them with God's Word. Heart, therefore, means the command center of the soul; the mind, will, and affections. Its basic meaning is to watch over with great care; careful tending of a garden. Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong.
(1 Corinthians 16:13)
Guard your mind spiritually:
(Pray and Store Up God's Word)
Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” When you store up God's Word in your heart, the Spirit will remind you of it in your time of need and guard your mind.
Pray continually: 1thessalonians 5:16-17
(come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest). Matthew 11:28
Practice gratitude:(give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus).
Renew your mind daily Romans 12:28
(take thoughts captive). We guard our hearts by filling our mind with God's Word regularly, proactively filtering what our mind consumes, and by praying for wisdom and help from God. Be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. Ephesians 6:10
