The words and promises of the Lord are like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times. He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in him. Trust confidently in the Lord. It a promise that as you seek God with all your heart and delight in Him in His presence, then He promises to fill your heart's desires because you will want what He wants. Your desires will match up with God's. God will give them what they want if they trust him. Psalm 37:4 is often taken as a personal promise; if we put God first life will be good.

If not, then receive Christ by faith, for “as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name.
