After He called the people to Him again, He began saying to them, “Listen [carefully] to Me, all of you, [hear] and understand [what I am saying]: there is nothing outside a man [such as food] which by going into him can defile him [morally or spiritually]; but the things which come out of [the heart of] a man are what defile and dishonor him. [If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”]

Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world.

In Ephesians 4, Paul provides significant teaching on salvation, reconciliation, the nature of God's family, and the Christian identity. Paul's goal for all of this teaching was to encourage and energize believers in their faith. Ephesians 4 reminds us to put on our "new self" and to operate in righteousness and holiness. It is by forming a relationship with Christ through scripture reading and prayer that we can allow this process to fully take form. Always pray and never give up!

His aim was to strengthen those who were already members of the Church and to help recent converts grow in their spiritual knowledge and remain faithful to their covenants. And to bring Gentiles to the knowledge of this glorious state of salvation by Christ Jesus.

The main message of Ephesians is that believers in Christ are reconciled not only to God, but to each other. They are to maintain unity of purpose within their families and church, while resisting the temptation to fall into the sin of the world surrounding them. The closer You walk with God, the less room for anything to come between. We need Jesus every second, minute and hour of my day. ALL things are possible through him and faith in Him. Becoming a child of God does not happen overnight. To become the child that God desires for us to be, He takes us through a lifelong journey that teaches us how to love Him with our heart, body,

soul, and spirit.

We are to praise the Lord with our minds, hearts, and mouths. Praise involves the use of all that we have for God's glory with

everything that is within us, let us praise the Lord! I will bless the LORD at all times;

His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the LORD;

The humble and downtrodden will hear it and rejoice.

O magnify the LORD with me,

And let us lift up His name together.
