I love those who love me;
And those who seek me early and diligently will find me.
Riches and honor are with me,
Enduring wealth and righteousness (right standing with God).
My fruit is better than gold, even pure gold,
And my yield is better than choicest silver.
I, [Wisdom, continuously] walk in the way of righteousness,
In the midst of the paths of justice,
That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth and true riches,
And that I may fill their treasuries.
Spiritual wealth means the act of having direction and meaning in life. It involves the development of positive morals, values and ethics. When people become wealthy spiritually, they demonstrate love and sense of caring for self and others.
Spiritual wealth is something much more significant than material wealth. It is the route to pure happiness. But how can a person cultivate a sense of spiritual wealth? It’s simple enough to become materially wealthy, but spiritual wealth is something different. It takes patience, self-discipline, and strength to become a spiritually wealthy person.
In acquiring material wealth all are not equally blessed. But in gaining mental and spiritual wealth, every one has an equal chance. Beginning from character and disciplines and ending with supreme kindness and goodness, the wealth of the mind is displayed in abundance before all. This is the spiritual definition of true wealth: we acquire spiritual wealth when we work to develop virtues — virtues such as trustworthiness, truthfulness, assertiveness, compassion, honesty, honor, prayerfulness, and so on.
For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and virtue.
If we spend our lives developing virtues, we will have something to show for it when our time in this world of material existence comes to an end as these developed qualities will assist us in our next stage of existence. There are spiritual riches pertaining to who we are — our identity; and there our spiritual riches pertaining to how we live — things which God gives us to obey Him in this life. And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. [To bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.
In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him. They are the ones God has chosen for his purpose,
and he has always known who his chosen ones would be. He had decided to let them become like his own Son, so his Son would be the first of many children. Then He said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who throws seed on the ground
“And he shall sleep and arise by night and by day and the seed grows and lengthens while he is unaware". He who plants and he who waters are one [in importance and esteem, working toward the same purpose]; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
