Unchanging God

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes. (James 1:17) God's unchanging reliability and constant presence in our lives. God is unchanging. He's unchanging in His being and in His purposes. Let my teaching drop as the rain,

My speech distill as the dew,

As the light rain upon the tender grass,

And as the spring showers upon the herb.

For I proclaim the name [and presence] of the LORD;

Ascribe greatness and honor to our God!

The Rock! His work is perfect,

For all His ways are just;

A God of faithfulness without iniquity (injustice),

Just and upright is He. (Deuteronomy 32:2-4)

To not be faithful to us is impossible for Him because He is the definition of faithfulness. You are faithful to your word and to all your promises, you are faithful to carry out all of your purposes that you have for our life. You are a just and faithful God in all your ways. It is because of the LORD’S lovingkindnesses that we are not consumed,

Because His [tender] compassions never fail.

They are new every morning;

Great and beyond measure is Your faithfulness.

The LORD is my portion and my inheritance,” says my soul;

Therefore I have hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him.

The LORD is good to those who wait [confidently] for Him,

To those who seek Him [on the authority of God’s word]. (Lamentation 3:22-25)

Build your hope on things eternal; Hold on to God's unchanging hand, unchangeable character, and unchangeable word. Because God's nature does not change, His character remains the same. Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
