Offer sacrifices in the right spirit, and trust the LORD. Righteous sacrifices; which requires that the persons offering them be righteous and do righteous things, and offer them with an honest mind, with faith and trust. And put your trust in the Lord — And then, that is, so doing, you may rely upon God, and confidently expect His assistance and blessing.
Lift up the light of Your face upon us, O LORD.
You have put joy in my heart,
More than [others know] when their wheat and new wine have yielded abundantly. (Psalm 4:5,7) Waiting for the Lord teaches us to depend on Him, as well as grows our patience and trust.
Rather than relying on earthly strength, we can trust His omnipotent power.
For in Him our heart rejoices, Because we trust [lean on, rely on, and are confident] in His holy name. (Psalm 33:20-21)
One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, all the days of my life to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and seek Him in His temple. (Psalm 27:4) How excellent is your lovingkindness, so the children of men shall trust in the shelter of thy wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house;
And You allow them to drink from the river of Your delights.
For with You is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water];
In Your light we see light. (Psalm 36:7-8)
