To Know Him...

There is no [human] wisdom or understanding Or counsel [that can prevail] against the LORD. (Proverbs 21:30) You will keep perfectly peaceful the one whose mind remains focused on you, because he remains in you, with humility and a willingness to follow you. (Isaiah 26:3) A peace with God being in an right standing relationship with Him; and inner peace a peaceful tranquil state of peace within oneself. These are both gifts from God, through Christ, who is the ultimate source of lasting peace. Blessed [inwardly peaceful, spiritually secure, worthy of respect] are the gentle [the kind-hearted, the sweet-spirited, the self-controlled], Blessed are the meek, for they as heirs shall obtain possession of the earth. (Matthew 5:5) But the meek shall inherit the earth, and they will delight in the multitude of peace. ( Psalm 37:11)

The Lord lifts up the meek, but he brings down the sinner, even to the ground. (Psalm 147:6) For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth, because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them. (Romans 1:18-19) We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. We know [for a fact] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] lies in the power of the evil one [opposing God and His precepts]. And we [have seen and] know [by personal experience] that the Son of God has [actually] come [to this world], and has given us understanding and insight so that we may [progressively and personally] know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true--in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

Little children (believers, dear ones), guard yourselves from idols--[false teachings, moral compromises, and anything that would take God’s place in your heart]. (1 John 5:18-21) Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk]. (Matthew 4:19) Aligning your thoughts and actions applying His teachings to your life; choosing to follow Him even when it requires sacrifice or in uncomfortable circumstances. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. (Matthew 10:38) If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. (Mark 8:34)
