The Lovingkindness of The Lord

I shall lift my eyes to the hills; from where will come my helper?

My help shall come from the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth. (Psalm 121:1-2)

‘Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too difficult or too wonderful for You. (Jeremiah 32:17)

I know that You can do all things.

I know, LORD, that you are all-powerful; And that no plan is impossible for You, no thought or purpose can be thwarted or withheld from thee. (Job 42:2) The LORD of Hosts has purposed, and who can thwart Him? His hand is outstretched, so who can turn it back? (Psalm 14:27)

There are many plans in a man's heart, but the LORD's counsel will prevail. The LORD's purposes will prevail, nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

(Proverbs 19:21)

Declaring the end and the result from the beginning, And from ancient times the things which have not [yet] been done, Saying, ‘My purpose will be established, And I will do all that pleases Me and fulfills My purpose,

I am calling a man to come from the east; he will swoop down like a hawk and accomplish what I have planned. I have spoken, and it will be done. I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also perform it. (Isaiah 41:10-11)

The LORD blocks the plans and purposes of the nations. He frustrates the schemes of the people of the world, he maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of none effect; he thwarts the plans of the peoples.

The counsel of the LORD stands forever, The thoughts and plans of His heart through all generations. (Psalm 33:10-11) God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done. Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Once he speaks up, he's going to act, isn't he? Once he makes a promise, he'll fulfill it, won't he? (Number 23:19)

But he is unchangeable, and who can change him? What his soul desires, even that he does. (Job 23:13)

In the same way God, in His desire to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable nature of His purpose, intervened and guaranteed it with an oath,

so that by two unchangeable things [His promise and His oath] in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled [to Him] for refuge would have strong encouragement and purposes indwelling strength to hold tightly to the hope set before us,

This hope [this confident assurance] we have as an anchor of the soul [it cannot slip and it cannot break down under whatever pressure bears upon it]—a safe and steadfast hope that enters within the veil [of the heavenly temple, that most Holy Place in which the very presence of God dwells]. (Hebrews 6:17-19)

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

All who live on the earth are nothing compared to him. He does what he wishes with the heavenly armies and with those who live on earth. No one can hold back his power or say to him, 'What did you do?' (Daniel 4:35)

[This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength [far beyond the limits of human effort]. (1 Corinthians 1:25)

The LORD of hosts has sworn [an oath], saying, just as I have intended, so it has certainly happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand— plan [of God] decided for the whole earth and this is the hand that is stretched out against all the nations. (Isaiah 14:24,26)
