"The Dwelling of The Humble House"

The LORD has said that He would dwell in the thick cloud.

“I have built You a lofty house,

A place for You to dwell forever.”

But will God actually dwell with mankind on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain You; how much less this house which I have built! (2 Chronicles 6:1,18) Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool.

Where, then, is a house that you could build for Me?

And where will My resting place be?

“For all these things My hand has made, So all these things came into being [by and for Me],” declares the LORD. “But to this one I will look [graciously], these are the ones I look on with favor: To him who is humble and contrite in spirit, and who [reverently] trembles at My word and honors My commands. (Isaiah 66:1-2)

But our LORD has given us abundant grace. Therefore he said, God humbles the proud, but gives grace to the humble. (James 4:5)

“Because everyone who will exalt himself shall be humbled and everyone who will humble himself shall be exalted." ( Luke 14:11)

Be humbled before the Lord, and He will exalt you. (James 4:10)

Pride brings a man low, but the Lord upholds the humble-minded with honour. (Proverbs 29:23) The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked,

but He blesses the home of the righteous.

He mocks the mockers,

but gives grace to the humble.

The wise will inherit honor,

but fools are held up to shame. (Proverbs 3:33-35)

The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. (Psalm 147:6) But let righteous people rejoice. Let them celebrate in God's presence. Let them overflow with joy.

Sing to God! Sing praises to his name! Exalt the one who rides on the clouds! For the LORD is his name! Rejoice before him! (Psalm 68:3-4)

Light is sown [like seed] for the righteous and illuminates their path, And [irrepressible] joy [is spread] for the upright in heart [who delight in His favor and protection].

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones [those whose moral and spiritual integrity places them in right standing with God], And praise and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97:11-12) And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” (Isaiah 6:3)

Yes, they will sing of the ways of the LORD [joyfully celebrating His wonderful acts], For great is the glory and majesty of the LORD.

Though the LORD is exalted, He regards the lowly [and invites them into His fellowship]; But the proud and haughty He knows from a distance. (Psalm 138:5-6) Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones;

Praise is becoming and appropriate for those who are upright [in heart--those with moral integrity and godly character].

Give thanks to the LORD with the lyre;

Sing praises to Him with the harp of ten strings.

Sing to Him a new song;

Play skillfully [on the strings] with a loud and joyful sound.

For the word of the LORD is right;

And all His work is done in faithfulness.

He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. (Psalm 33:1-5)
