Steadfast Love and Faith in Him

Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word]; and let us consider [thoughtfully] how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds. (Hebrews 10:23-24) May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the steadfastness and patience of Christ. (2 Thessalonians 3:5) Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us]. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

Continue steadfast in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2) He also taught them by a parable that they must always pray and never lose heart. (Luke 18:1) I will bow down [in worship] toward Your holy temple And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word together with Your name. (Psalm 138:2) There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord,

Nor are there any works [of wonder and majesty] like Yours.

All nations whom You have made shall come and kneel down in worship before You, O Lord,

And they shall glorify Your name.

For You are great and do wondrous works!

You alone are God.

Teach me Your way, O LORD,

I will walk and live in Your truth;

Direct my heart to fear Your name [with awe-inspired reverence and submissive wonder]. I will give thanks and praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart;

And will glorify Your name forevermore.

But You, O Lord, are a God [who protects and is] merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness and truth. (Psalm 86:8-12,15)

Now may the LORD show lovingkindness and truth and faithfulness to you. I too will show this goodness to you, because you have done this thing. (2 Samuel 2:6)
