I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]. (Psalm 91:2) God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1) To walk (spiritual elevation) with God's strength; we are empowered to rise above and walk confidently in victory with endurance over every circumstance that life may bring. But those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired (Isaiah 40:31) The ability that enables us to overcome adversity and walk confidently in difficult circumstances that life may bring; even in the "high places" of life. By having faith and trust in God's strength, even in the face of difficult circumstances we are able to reach new heights in our spiritual path in life.
The Lord GOD is my strength [my source of courage, my invincible army]; He has made my feet [steady and sure] like hinds’ feet And makes me walk [forward with spiritual confidence] on my high places [of challenge and responsibility]. (Habakkuk 3:19) Steadfast is defined as unchanging, firmly fixed in place, immovable, and not subject to change.
Having a steadfast spirit; a state of unwavering determination, and commitment, in the face of adversity or challenges. It's characterized by stability, calmness, and a consistent faith. By being firm and unwavering in our faith and commitment to God, offers the benefits, of increased strength, resilience, and a deeper connection with God.
Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (James 1:12)
Therefore, [let me warn you] beloved, knowing these things beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men [who distort doctrine] and fall from your own steadfastness [of mind, knowledge, truth, and faith]
but grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen (2 Peter 3:17-18)
