Overcome Evil with Good

Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to use them accordingly: if [someone has the gift of] prophecy, [let him speak a new message from God to His people] in proportion to the faith possessed; if service, in the act of serving; or he who teaches, in the act of teaching; or he who encourages, in the act of encouragement; he who gives, with generosity; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy [in caring for others], with cheerfulness.

Love is to be sincere and active [the real thing--without guile and hypocrisy]. Hate what is evil [detest all ungodliness, do not tolerate wickedness]; hold on tightly to what is good. (Romans 12:6-9) DO THIS habitually AND YOU WILL LIVE. (Luke 10:28) But he, wishing to justify and vindicate himself, asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?" (Luke 10:29)If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. (1Peter 3:10) HE MUST TURN AWAY FROM WICKEDNESS AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT.

HE MUST SEARCH FOR PEACE [with God, with self, with others] AND PURSUE IT EAGERLY [actively--not merely desiring it].

"FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE [looking favorably] UPON THE RIGHTEOUS (the upright),

AND HIS EARS ARE ATTENTIVE TO THEIR PRAYER (eager to answer),

BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO PRACTICE EVIL.” (1Peter 3:11-12)

Do not be overcome and conquered by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21)

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. (Romans 8:37)

Conquerors through the blood of Jesus not only for salvation but for the turning of evil to good.

We can't allow ourselves to get tired of living the right way. Certainly, each of us will receive [everlasting life] at the proper time, if we don't give up. (Galatians 6:9) Just consider and meditate

"Faith of Hope in His Word"

I wait [patiently] for the LORD, my soul [expectantly] waits, And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; More than the watchmen for the morning. O Is
