In God and God Alone

You are my God, and I give thanks to You;

[You are] my God, I extol You.

O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;

For His lovingkindness endures forever. (Psalm 118:28-29)

We should begin each day giving thanks in prayer. He hears the prayer of the [consistently] righteous [that is, those with spiritual integrity and moral courage]. (Proverbs 15:29)

We should thank Him in your worship for who He is and what He does. Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.

Serve the LORD with gladness and delight;

Come before His presence with joyful singing.

Know and fully recognize with gratitude that the LORD Himself is God;

It is He who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His].

We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving

And His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name. (Psalm 100:1-4) We should start our day reading and meditating on His word. And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:2) He is our daily bread, strength and provision. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].

I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,

My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!

For He will command His angels in regard to you,

To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].

Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;

I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].

He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble;

I will rescue him and honor him.

With a long life I will satisfy him

And I will let him see My salvation. (Psalm 91:1-2,11,14-16)
