His Will, Word and His Way

Loving the Lord your God with all your passion, prayer and intelligence. This kind of love requires a commitment to align our entire being with God's will and purposes. Loving God is the foundation of a believer's relationship to and with Him; a lifetime process of devotion and sacrifice. Loving Him above everything else, surrendering our whole being to His will. It's inseparable from obedience to His commandments. YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND. (Matthew 22:37) Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others]. Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. Let the [spoken] word of Christ have its home within you [dwelling in your heart and mind--permeating every aspect of your being] as you teach [spiritual things] and admonish and train one another with all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus [and in dependence on Him], giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:14-17) Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. Whoever rejects the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36) He who keeps and obeys the commandment [of the LORD] keeps (guards) his own life,
But he who is careless of his ways and conduct will die. Listen to counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction,
That you may be wise in the time to come.
The fear of the LORD leads to life,
So that one may sleep satisfied, untouched by evil. (Proverbs 19:16,20,23) These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind.
You shall teach them diligently to your children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7) The beginning of the [facts regarding the] good news of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
As it is written and forever remains in the [writings of the] prophet Isaiah:
BEHOLD, I SEND MY MESSENGER AHEAD OF YOU,
WHO WILL PREPARE YOUR WAY--
A VOICE OF ONE SHOUTING IN THE WILDERNESS,
PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD,
MAKE HIS PATHS STRAIGHT! John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins [that is, requiring a change of one’s old way of thinking, turning away from sin and seeking God and His righteousness]. (Mark 1:1-4)
But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God]. (Matthew 6:33)
