The person who fears the LORD [reverently worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect], they shall be praised.
Give them the product of their hands,
And let their own works praise them in the gates [of the city]. (Proverbs 31:30-31)
Their delight is in the law of the LORD,
And on His law [His precepts and teachings] they [habitually] meditates day and night.
And they will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season;
Its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever they do, it prospers [and comes to maturity]. (Proverbs 1:2-3) Opening their mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on their tongue [giving counsel and instruction] (Proverbs 31:29)
Do not let mercy and kindness and truth leave you [instead let these qualities define you];
Bind them [securely] around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart.
So find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.
Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way]. (Proverbs 3:3-5)
