Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (119:105) You are already clean because of the word which I have given you [the teachings which I have discussed with you]. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My [true] disciples. I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love [and do not doubt My love for you]. If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing. (John 15:3,7-11) Divine knowledge is revealed by God, open to all, and not dependent on man's ability. The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence], And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and spiritual insight. (Proverbs 9:10) The light of wisdom will guide us through troubled times and challenges with holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, grace, hope, and God's revelation. Our actions allow us to share the light of Jesus with those around us. A lamp is meant to be placed on a stand to give light to everything around it. We're called to be a light to the people around us.

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16) Good works done for God's sake, in ways that bring glory to God, ought to be done so that they can be seen.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ. (2Corinthians 4:6) In times of darkness you offer hope, encouragement, kindness and compassion. Jesus is the divine light that is pure, brilliant and true. In fellowship with Him, being one with Him, is to walk in His light. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” (John 8:12)

This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection]. (1John 1:5)

"Faith of Hope in His Word"

I wait [patiently] for the LORD, my soul [expectantly] waits, And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; More than the watchmen for the morning. O Is
