Divine Enlightment

With smooth words [of flattery and praise] he will turn to godlessness those who [are willing to] disregard the [Mosaic] covenant, but the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist]. They who are wise and have spiritual insight among the people will instruct many and help them understand; yet for many days some [of them and their followers] will fall by the sword and by flame, by captivity and by plunder. Now when they fall they will receive a little help, and many will join with them in hypocrisy. Some of those who are [spiritually] wise and have insight will fall [as martyrs] in order to refine, to purge and to make those among God’s people pure, until the end time; because it is yet to come at the time appointed [by God].

(Daniel 11:33-35) But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy--acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect. ( 1 Peter 3:17)

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6)

And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people). (Ephesians 1:18) We are the people of God with the message of God. Our message includes salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. Letting our light shine to bring glory to God. By testifying to the truth of His message; we inspire others to recognize and honor God by living a life of love, grace and faith in Christ positively impacting the world. You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)

John testified [repeatedly] about Him and has cried out [testifying officially for the record, with validity and relevance], “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I and has priority over me, for He existed before me.’(John 1:15)

There it was—the true Light [the genuine, perfect, steadfast Light] which, coming into the world, enlightens everyone. (John 1:9) Christ is the ultimate source of spiritual enlightenment and guidance, representing overcoming darkness.

The people who walk in [spiritual] darkness Will see a great Light; Those who live in the dark land, The Light will shine on them. (Isaiah 9:2) "I am the light of the world. Anyone who follows me will never walk in the darkness but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12) A consecrated sanctified people who belong to God. You were chosen so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)

You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery]. (Matthew 5:13)

We are to represent God to the world, telling them that our God is calling people out of their darkness into His wonderful light.

To open their [spiritual] eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness and release from their sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified (set apart, made holy) by faith in Me. (Acts 26:18)

For He has rescued us and has drawn us to Himself from the dominion of darkness, and has transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son. (Colossians 1:13) Christ calls us to continuously shine our little light always pointing to the divine light; because it's not about us but about Jesus. That is a light that loves, giving hope during difficult times, wisdom, compassion, upliftment of our spirit-man, spiritual enlightenment that leads to Christ himself, guiding by the one who leads and guides us to and through His path of righteousness and truth.

A man will be satisfied with good from the fruit of his words,

And the deeds of a man’s hands will return to him [as a harvest]. He who speaks truth [when he testifies] tells what is right,

A righteous man is a guide to his neighbor,

But the way of the wicked leads them astray.

In the way of righteousness is life,

And in its pathway there is no death [but immortality--eternal life]. (Proverbs 12:14,17,26,28
