Praise God that He has called us by name and may we grow in our dependence on Him through delighting in His word. Your words were found and I ate them,
And Your words became a joy to me and the delight of my heart;
For I have been called by Your name. (Jeremiah 15:16) Because of Your word (promise), and in accordance with Your own heart, You have done all these great and astounding things to let Your servant know (understand). Therefore You are great, O Lord GOD; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears. (2Samuel 7:21-22) There is none like You, O LORD;
You are great, and great is Your mighty and powerful name.
Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?
For it is appropriate and it is Your due!
For among all the wise men of the nations
And in all their kingdoms,
There is none like You. (Jeremiah 10:6-7) But for you who fear My name [with awe-filled reverence] the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go forward and leap [joyfully] like calves [released] from the stall. (Malachi 4:2) Those who trust in God for salvation,
God promises to bless and provide for the faithful. Trusting Him to do what only He can do, He is able to do anything. Those who trust in and rely on the LORD [with confident expectation]
Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but remains forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the LORD surrounds His people
From this time forth and forever.
For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the land of the righteous,
So that the righteous will not reach out their hands to do wrong.
Do good, O LORD, to those who are good
And to those who are upright in their hearts.
But as for those who turn aside to their crooked ways [in unresponsiveness to God],
The LORD will lead them away with those who do evil.
Peace be upon Israel. (Psalm 125) The LORD has told us what is good. What he requires of us is this: to do what is just, to show constant love, and to live in humble fellowship with our God. (Micah 6:8)
