I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but that You keep them and protect them from the evil one. (John 17:15)

And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.] (Matthew 6:13)

No one who is born of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, because God’s seed [His principle of life, the essence of His righteous character] remains [permanently] in him [who is born again—who is reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose]; and he [who is born again] cannot habitually [live a life characterized by] sin, because he is born of God and longs to please Him. (1 James 3:9) Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will always be able to determine what God really wants-what is good, pleasing, and perfect. (Romans 12:2) Having put on the new [spiritual] self who is being continually renewed in true knowledge in the image of Him who created the new self. (Colossians 3:10) And put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. (Ephesians 4:24) He is the exact living image [the essential manifestation] of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible], the firstborn [the preeminent one, the sovereign, and the originator] of all creation. (Colossians 1:15) Just as we have borne the image of the earthly [the man of dust], we will also bear the image of the heavenly [the Man of heaven]. (1 Corinthians 15:49) The LORD God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit]. (Genesis 2:7)

Whatever has been born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever has been born of the Spirit is spirit. (John 3:6) Born anew into an inheritance which is imperishable [beyond the reach of change] and undefiled and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, who are being protected and shielded by the power of God through your faith for salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time. (1 Peter 1:4-5)

We know that whosoever is born of God, doth not practise sin: but keepeth himself from it; but the one who was born of God protects them, and the evil one does not come near them.

We know that a true christian will not commit such a sin, for he that is the child of God keeps upon his guard, so that the wicked spirit does not approach him. (1 John 5:18)

Above all, lift up the [protective] shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16) So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the hearing of the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17) My word shall drop as rain,

and may my words flow like dew, as light rain upon the grass, and as showers upon the grass.

For I proclaim the name [and presence] of the LORD; Ascribe greatness and honor to our God. (Deuteronomy 32:2-3) Faithfulness springs up from the ground, and righteousness looks down from the sky. (Psalm 85:11)

O sky, rain down from above! And let the skies pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it. I, the Lord have created it. (Isaiah 45:8)

For there the seed will produce peace and prosperity; the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will produce its increase, and the heavens will give their dew. And I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit and possess all these things. (Zechariah 8:12)
