Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became a joy to me and the delight of my heart; For I belong to you, O LORD God of hosts. (Jeremiah 15:16)
How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!
From Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.
Your word is a lamp to guide me,
Your word is a lamp to walk by,
Your word is a lamp that gives light wherever I walk,
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalm 119:103-105) When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.
When you walk, let them follow you; let them be with you, keep them that they may keep you; and when you awake, meditate on them.
Their instructions are a shining light, a lamp of teaching; a light of instruction that are the way of life. (Proverbs 6:22-23) You will hear a voice behind you saying, "This is the way. Follow it, whether it turns to the right or to the left." (Isaiah 30:21)
The sheep that are My own hear My voice and listen to Me; I know them, and they follow Me. (John 10:27) But I came so that my sheep will have life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10)
For the Bread of God is He who comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world. (John 6:33)
Jesus answered, Scripture says, A person cannot live on bread alone, but need every word that God speaks. (Matthew 4:4)
Jesus replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me [as Savior] will never be thirsty [for that one will be sustained spiritually]. (John 6:35)
He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water. (John 7:38)
They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; And You allow them to drink from the river of Your delights. (Psalm 36:8) And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
My soul [my life, my very self] is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises [to You] with joyful lips. (Psalm 63:5)
Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, And your earnings for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight in abundance. (Isaiah 55:2) Instead, his delight is in the LORD’s instruction, His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night.
And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].(Psalm 1:2-3) Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the LORD,
The person who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD, is blessed. For he will be [nourished] like a tree planted by the waters, That spreads out its roots by the river; And will not fear the heat when it comes; But its leaves will be green and moist. And it will not be anxious and concerned in a year of drought Nor stop bearing fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8) Remain in Me, and I [will remain] in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine, neither can you [bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith] unless you remain in Me.
I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. (John 15:4-5) No one has ever yet seen God. If we love one another, God continues in union with us, and His love in all its perfection is in our hearts.
By this we know [with confident assurance] that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given to us His [Holy] Spirit. (1 John 4:12-13)
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God. (1 Corinthians 2:1) May He grant you out of the riches of His glory, to be strengthened and spiritually energized with power through His Spirit in your inner self, [indwelling your innermost being and personality], so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love. (Ephesians 3:16-17) As for you, let that remain in you [keeping in your hearts that message of salvation] which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you too will remain in the Son and in the Father [forever]. (1 John 2:24)
